Balancing your passion and your studies

School and university present us with an extraordinary array of extra-curricular activities to choose from – from sports to music, debating or maybe something really niche like pottery, it’s great to find a hobby or passion outside of your academic studies that you enjoy.

For Tansy Adam, her passion was theatre. Since the age of 11, Tansy has been acting and singing, both on her own and as part of a cast or choir. Now at Durham University, she is part of the Durham Revue and is branching out into stand-up and sketch comedy, splitting her time between her ancient history degree and her passion for drama.

In this podcast we ask her how she manages to balance the two, especially transitioning from the nurturing school environment of Heathfield to the big wide world of university.

With special thanks to Tansy @tansysgram and Maya Russell-Smith @mayamoz
