When Julia Hunt-Davis started rowing, little did she know that the sport she liked so much would land her a sports scholarship at a top US University. Julia, 18, is now in her first year at UC Berkely (California) and it was her love for rowing that got her there.
Rowing is – despite the sometimes glamorous image we have of it – a ton of hard work. It requires discipline, tolerating being wet and cold and to have multiple (very) early morning training starts. Do you want to know how to combine sports and academic work? Or, how to get a sports scholarship to US colleges? TalksforTeens talked to Julia about this and more. Listen to the Podcast here.
