Turning Eco Anxiety Into Agency; Force of Nature

Feeling eco-anxious? Or worse eco-phobic? Force of Nature gets it. Force of Nature is a non-profit run by young people for young people. With students and activists in 50 countries, Force of Nature empowers young people to take climate action. Force of nature works at the nexus of mental health and the climate crisis, running programs to help young people turn their anxiety into climate action and to avoid eco-phobia, which is defined as feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and hopeless.

TalksforTeens spoke to Vida Han, the Community Coordinator of Force of Nature and a student of Sustainable Development at Columbia University NY about the work Force of Nature does and if young people were included at COP26. Vida talks about the amazing young individuals present at COP26 and the energy and dynamism she encountered there. Vida also explains that COP26 was not make-or-break as the media portrayed it but was more about legacy and what happens after COP and the changes people keep making for the better.
